To Evolve is to Gain knowledge and to be willing to change for the better!!!!

Yes, I made it home in time for Memorial Day and haven't done a single thing that I wanted to do with my children today. Being behind on work has taken precedence over having a good time.

I have learned all kinds of new ways to manipulate this medium to take my work to the next level where I have envisioned my work all along!!!

I really think after investing in all these conferences with my time and resources, My work and my work flow and how I run my business will be transformed this year for the better!! I look forward to seeing what God has in store for us. I love it when I get a chance to Evolve!!! And I love to have opportunities to spread the love. And I love to Learn!

Enjoy some photos from my trip...

a photo session that Heather did while we were there. I took some of my own photos while she was working.

Tattoos and luggage

Cincinnati from the sky...

Air traffic

Air Art

This speaks for itself... this guy was quite the quick model while helping folks on the plane...

I look forward to having some Mommy and Dad Photography classes for those who have recently bought SLR's like my brother did today. I would love to help all of you take better photographs and make your photographs meet your standards that you expect from your new expensive camera.

And I would love to teach a couple of private lessons to some High School students as well. Let me know if you know anyone who might be interested.

2nd Day Bookout

I was so overwhelmed to tears when Heather and Ben started yesterday's conference with an introduction to the Gospel of Jesus and how your understanding of the Gospel and your relationship with the Lord is the ground work for all things in your life going well and your ability to reach out and give back to your community.

I look forward to having a similar conference to spread the word as well in the future.

But for now, I have a lot to pray through and will keep you posted!

Their studio is beautiful, and their work ethic is outstanding. I ended up staying in the lobby of the hotel after a wonderful dinner at Rosies until 10:30 just talking about the business and looking at each other's portfolios and such...

Looking forward to today and will fill you in on all that we do today tomorrow morn before I catch the flight back to Raleigh. Then I will post some pics on Sunday of the event!

And hopefully next week I will get that iphone finally!!!

Bookout Conference

Hello everyone!! I haven't been able to return some phone calls and e-mails in the last couple of days, but that will all change next week!!!! I flew yesterday to Huntsville AL to the Bookout studio for their RIPE conference! I had a great time getting a few hours to read Anne Lamott, getting some time to miss my precious children and pretending to be traveling to some exotic place as I raced (or really hobbled) around the Atlanta airport and jumped on the subway train to the next terminal.

Although, when I arrived in Huntsville it was kind of a let down since I let my imagination run wild by watching all the travelers and wondering where everyone was going and wishing I was headed to Italy or Spain! When I met Amy and the team at Bookout, I got really excited and happy again that I am here instead of some other far away place.

It is around 7am on Thursday morn and there will only be a couple of times where I can access my account and post a message until Monday. I am so excited to see what Heather, Ben, and Amy are going to teach us this week!!!

I went to the studio yesterday to say hello and I loved loved loved their style and their space!!!! What an inspiration!!!

Also, feel so blessed to have met Amy yesterday who so graciously took me to a minor med clinic at 6 and picked me back up at 10!!! yes, I waited for four hours to see the doc at this place!!!
I have been bitten by a mysterious poisonous bug on my heel, and it has caused terrible pain when I walk!!! The doc didn't know what to do, I should have known... I waited all that time and he gave me IBProfen!!!!! I will post more on the conference soon!!! And on Monday, I will post my photographs of this week. Stay tuned.

A Saturday to remember...

So sorry that I have been blogless for weeks... Now it is time to catch up...

Timberly, Angela and I had a great time photographing Jasmine and Mitch's wedding in Cape Hattaras... What a beautiful family and a wonderful place to have a wedding.

We stayed in an amazing beach house with most of the wedding party and just had so much fun!!! I thought the images turned out very artistic and fun... here's a sneak peak!

Saturday before last I had so much fun eating cupcakes, singing songs, riding the carousel and playing stop and go while I photographed a young brother and a sister for their mom's surprise gift on mother's day... here are a few of those images. I think they really capture their fun loving relationship and how they enjoy each other so much... They were full of energy and I think they sat still and stopped laughing and giggling only when the cupcakes were served!!

Today, we took Timberly and Mary out again and played with the camera to prep for the wedding next weekend at the outer banks. They are so beautiful and the best models... We are so proud of our Timberly who has been signed on as a model with a local agency who works with big name companies!!! Congratulations Timberly!!!!!

me with some of the cutest boys ever!

I had a wonderful photo session with Maura and Chris last Saturday. They are so cute and in love and it was too much fun to hang out with her outside of work since she and I met because she has chosen to be on a committee at Duke Hospital where we have come together as a team to see that The Remember My Love Project takes off this year!!! Thanks Maura, I look forward to photographing you and your husband and more this year!

On Friday, I went to the Yervant and Joe Seminar in Chapel hill and had a great time. I learned so much and gained a great deal of confidence!!!

And as usual, I enjoyed playing with my two clients on Saturday, they were a lot of fun and so photogenic.(But, I cannot reveal the photos until after mother's day!)

Yes, just in time, it is 1:00 am again.... good night!!
